The Optiv Group is committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to people with disabilities. We believe that everyone deserves equal access to information about their employee benefits, regardless of ability or technology used.

Conformance Status

theoptivgroup.com is designed and maintained to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). WCAG 2.1 AA defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with a wide range of disabilities — visual, hearing, motor, cognitive, and others.

"Conformance posture" means we have designed and built the Sites to meet WCAG 2.1 AA requirements and we test against them regularly. Some content from third-party providers (such as embedded carrier portals or video webinars) may not yet fully conform — see Section 3.4 for details and limitations.

Measures We Take

To support accessibility on theoptivgroup.com, we:

  • Use semantic HTML and proper heading hierarchy so screen readers can navigate content logically.
  • Provide descriptive alternative text for informative images, icons, and infographics.
  • Maintain color contrast ratios of at least 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text and active UI elements, per WCAG 2.1 AA.
  • Ensure interactive elements (buttons, form fields, calculators) are operable by keyboard alone, with visible focus indicators.
  • Provide captions for video content and accessible transcripts for audio content where reasonably practicable.
  • Design touch targets to be at least 44 by 44 CSS pixels on mobile devices.
  • Avoid content that flashes more than three times per second.
  • Use ARIA attributes thoughtfully where native HTML semantics are insufficient.
  • Test with assistive technologies including screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver), keyboard-only navigation, and accessibility audit tools.
  • Train our content team on accessible authoring practices.

Compatibility

theoptivgroup.com is designed to work with current and recent versions of major browsers and assistive technologies, including:

  • Browsers: the latest two versions of Chrome, Edge, Safari, and Firefox on desktop and mobile.
  • Screen readers: JAWS (Windows), NVDA (Windows), VoiceOver (macOS and iOS), TalkBack (Android).
  • Operating systems: current versions of Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android.

If you encounter compatibility problems with a specific browser or assistive technology, please let us know.

Known Limitations

Despite our best efforts, some content on theoptivgroup.com may not yet fully conform to WCAG 2.1 AA. Known limitations include:

  • Embedded third-party content (such as carrier-provided documents, partner-provided videos, or third-party scheduling widgets) may not match our accessibility standards. We work with our partners to improve accessibility but cannot fully control third-party output.
  • Older PDF documents (such as historical whitepapers or legacy plan documents) may not be tagged for screen reader navigation. We are progressively remediating these documents and will provide accessible alternatives on request.
  • Some complex interactive components — such as the savings calculator and Optiv Advantage modeling tool — undergo periodic accessibility review. If you encounter difficulty using these tools with assistive technology, please contact us; we are committed to providing the same information through an accessible alternative format.

Assessment & Continuous Improvement

theoptivgroup.com undergoes accessibility review when launched, when significant changes are made, and at least annually thereafter. Our review combines automated testing tools, manual keyboard-only testing, and screen reader testing. We treat accessibility as a continuous improvement process rather than a one-time checkbox.
